Evaporative coolers are much cheaper to run than air conditioning units, as they do not use a refridgerant system that consumes a lot of power. They harness the natural process of evaporation to cool air and use some low power components to circulate the cool air around the space. Comcool 52 evaporative coolers feature an internal 90 litre water tank, a diaphragm pump, cooling pads and an internal fan. Evaporative coolers should not be used in areas with no ventilation, as this can lead to a build-up of condensation within the space. These air coolers must not be used in areas that contain delicate materials that could be affected by a rise in humidity, such as server rooms. An air conditioner is the best cooling option for those areas.
