Up To 3kW Heating Capacity: The EXHEAT FAW unit offers eight options in terms of heating power. The air warmer produces great heating power for hazardous environments where conditions can be extreme. Applications include, but are not limited to, aircraft hanger service bays, battery stores, chemical plants, deluge cabinets and dusty environments.
Robust Steel Construction: The unit features a lightweight steel enclosure, which gives it an IP67 rating. It has the highest level of dust protection and can withstand temporary submersion of less than 1 metre in depth.
Corrosion Resistance: The air warmer is constructed with powder-coated mild steel. Highlighting an orange and grey colour combination not only adds aesthetic appeal but also protects the unit from corrosion damage caused by moisture and other environmental factors.
Extremely Flexible Temperature Range: The EXHEAT air warmer operates from -60°C to +40°C, which is suitable for use in a variety of environments, including industrial settings where extreme temperatures are common.
T3 Temperature Rating: With a T3 rating, the maximum surface temperature of the FAW unit will not exceed 200°C, which suggests that it is suitable for use in environments with flammable substances that have ignition temperatures higher than the maximum surface temperature of the equipment.
Floor/Wall Mounting: The FAW heater needs to be mounted in a horizontal position on a floor or wall, allowing free airflow around the unit. It comes with pre-drilled support feet for floor mounting as part of the standard equipment. Wall-mounting brackets are available on request.
Variable Voltage: There are 110v, 240v and dual voltage (240v/415v) options available for the unit. Being available for 1 phase and 3 phase power supplies allows for flexibility in installation and ensures compatibility with different electrical systems.
Optional Thermostat: The heater can be regulated using remote mounted thermostats from the EXHEAT Industrial range, which is available separately. Feel free to get in touch with us for more details.
The EXHEAT FAW Hazardous Area Air Warmer is specifically engineered and certified for heating small work or storage spaces in hazardous areas. It is suitable for use in Hazardous Area Zones 1 and 2, which consist of explosive gases in Groups IIA, IIB and IIC.
With a heating capacity of up to 3kW, the EXHEAT FAW unit provides eight heating power options. This air warmer is exceptionally efficient and suitable for challenging and hazardous environments where conditions can be extreme. Applications include but are not limited to the following:
The air warmer boasts a sturdy steel construction, with its enclosure made of lightweight steel. Featuring an IP67 rating, it offers the highest level of protection against dust and ensures the unit's ability to endure temporary submersion of less than 1 metre in depth. To enhance its durability, the mild steel of the air warmer is coated with a corrosion-resistant powder coat, featuring an attractive orange and grey colour scheme. This coating not only adds aesthetic appeal but also safeguards the unit from potential damage caused by moisture and other environmental elements.
The EXHEAT air warmer functions effectively within a wide temperature range of -60°C to +40°C. This highly adaptable temperature range makes it suitable for diverse environments, such as industrial settings, where extreme temperatures are frequently encountered. It carries a T3 temperature rating, ensuring that the maximum surface temperature of the FAW unit does not surpass 200°C. Therefore, the air warmer is appropriate for use in environments where flammable substances have ignition temperatures higher than the equipment's maximum surface temperature.
To enhance user convenience, the FAW heater provides options for 110v, 240v and dual voltage (240v/415v), allowing for flexible installation with diverse electrical systems. The availability of both single-phase and three-phase power supply options provides installation flexibility and guarantees compatibility. Its lightweight design makes it easy to transport and position in different locations, which is ideal for onsite applications in extreme conditions.
To ensure proper installation, the FAW heater should be mounted horizontally, either on a floor or a wall, enabling unrestricted airflow around the unit. It is supplied with pre-drilled support feet as standard equipment for floor mounting. Wall-mounting brackets are available upon request. If desired, the heater can be controlled using remote mounted thermostats from the EXHEAT Industrial range, which is available separately.
