Types of commercial air conditioners 

We stock a wide variety of large volume industrial air conditioners, which comprise three main categories. 

1. Monobloc/Portable Air Conditioner

A monobloc, or portable air conditioning system, is a self-contained unit that contains both the evaporator and condenser coils in a single machine. The majority of the processed air passes through the evaporator coil, where it is cooled and released back into the room. Air is used in smaller amounts to cool the condenser coil. However, as the air has been heated, it cannot be reused in the room. Instead, it is expelled through ducting, typically directed out of a window.

These units are usually equipped with cool air delivery ducts and a flexible exhaust pipe. This allows for the efficient cooling of air inside a room, while only expelling a minimal amount of air as exhaust. In certain cases, mobile industrial air conditioning units are used in process applications. They direct a cool air jet onto a precise part of the production process. 

Commercial portable air conditioners are a great way to cool a room. They don't require any installation. This makes them suitable for both temporary and permanent solutions.

2. Split Air Conditioning Units

A split, fixed installation air conditioning unit uses similar cooling technology. It has indoor and outdoor units.

The indoor unit contains a refrigerant evaporator, which produces a cooling effect. The vapour then enters the condensation coil, which normally sits outside in the outdoor unit to cool to its condensation point. The expansion valve allows the liquid refrigerant to evaporate, requiring warm air to close the circuit.

A water-cooled split unit also comes with two units. The primary indoor unit produces a cooling effect by drawing warm air in for cooling and returning it afterwards. The outdoor unit, on the other hand, cools the condenser with water instead of air. It usually comes with a long cord that connects the indoor unit to the outdoor unit.

3. Wall-Mounted Air Conditioning Units

Wall-mounted air conditioners are useful in commercial or industrial settings. They can be mounted at convenient heights on walls or ceilings. This makes them particularly practical. Some even feature an air-source heat pump for versatile climate control all year.

These units are great for public places like gymnasiums, restaurants and hotels where space should be used wisely. They are easy to install and operate, and they can provide efficient cooling and heating without taking up valuable floor space. They may also prevent potential dangers like tripping customers.

In modern models, a lot of handy features are included, such as WiFi connectivity. Administrators can use a smartphone to control multiple air con units. This is especially useful in hotels, where the occupancy level in each room changes frequently.
