DS Series Destratification Fan
Economical, Efficient Ceiling Mounted Air Recirculating Unit
With any conventional air heating system warm air will rise to roof level by natural. This leads to a decreased effectiveness in building heating while also incurring a rising cost. The DS Series offers a solution to this issue. The Ceiling mounted fan reverses this heat dispersal process by recirculating warm air back to lower levels. This permanently reduces loss of heat through roof space and generates an even dispersal of heat through a building.
In larger buildings with high ceilings this can result in high temperature gradients and consequently increased energy usage, by extension increasing the cost of such usage. Building most often effected such as factories, warehouses and sports centres, will see the greatest benefits from installation of the DS.
Best suited for larger areas installation should be installed approximately 1 metre below the apex. This air flow system come in a range of four sizes. Destratification fans are available with mounting heights from 4m to 8m, 6 to 12m, 6 to12m, 10 to 18m all to fit your needs. Calculate the volume of the building and multiply by two to determine the amount of air that needs to be re-circulated for effective de-stratification. Divide by the primary air flow of the unit to determine the number of units required.
DS units are supplied with a high efficiency axial fan with mesh finger guard, robust cabinet with four-point suspension and four-way discharge adjustable louvres. Frost protection unit excluding integral thermostat. DS units are ready for automatic operation out of the box. Once mounted and connection to an electrical supply the fan will be fully operational.
